About the IARR Website

Current website committe chair: Benjamin Le (please address any questions, comments, or postings to ble@haverford.edu).

A few suggestions that will make it easier to make edits to the site:

  • If you have postings you would like to have linked to the website, please indicate which page(s) you would like your information linked to (i.e., where to create the links).
  • Please provide details on how you want your posting formatted: Do you want a file linked to the site (i.e., download a .PDF or MS Word .DOC)? Or do you want it posted as a webpage (i.e., HTML, formatted with the IARR banner and menu)?
  • Please provide text written as you want it posted. In other words, Ben isn't specifically editing the content of your posting, unless requested.
  • In addition, please let Ben know if information included on the website is incorrect or needs to be deleted. In general, Ben will be deleting information (1) when someone asks for that info to be deleted or (2) it seems out of date (i.e., conferences have ended, deadlines have passed).
  • For example, asking Ben to "please link the attached information to the IARR Home and Conferences page as a PDF, and remove the old link to this other file" is more useful than "please post this." In short, please be as specific as you can with your request so that the edits/additions Ben makes match your expectations. If you have any questions, please ask.

Please note: if you want your announcement to be sent out to IARR members via e-mail, please send it to Michael Cunningham at iarr@louisville.edu.

Past website committe chair: Lisa Baker

Technical information: This site was created and is maintained with Dreamweaver. Please note: If you are (1) using Internet Explorer as your browser, (2) running Windows XP, and (3) have updated to Service Pack 2 (SP2), a little yellow bar at the top of the page may pop-up stating that "To protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options..." This is because the rollover buttons (i.e., the links at the left of the page) employ Java, and Internet Explorer is trying to block Java from running. These buttons do not pose a security risk to your computer, and if you want to allow the buttons to fully load, you need to click on the yellow warning bar and "Allow the blocked content..." If you chose not to allow this content, these links will fully functional; they just won't be as fancy.
